The swirl refers to the constant aggregation, processing, and consolidation of data extracted from us.

Is it wise to base decisions about the human collective on the sum of our individual preferences? Gathering data from persons assumes that the base unit of society is the individual. We are, after all, social creatures who act radically differently in group settings.
