AI’s allure comes from its ability to transcend the limits of our minds and bodies. At the same time, machines are currently trained with pools of data tinged with our biases.
I sense a distinct urgency to scale up AI, on whatever ground it can cover. But I ask myself: what about rooting this technology with care, so it escapes the patterns of our contentious past?
Isn’t that a mark of intelligence, of true progress?
